Mind the notetaker. AI notetakers capture voiceprints and confidential discussion. In Illinois, capturing them without consent triggers BIPA penalties of $1,000 to $5,000 per person.
Protect client data. ABA Opinion 512 and the AICPA Confidential Client Information Rule both say client information does not go into a self-learning AI tool without the right tool and consent. And verify every citation, because AI invents them.
